Committed to Vaughan, Dedicated to Community

A lifelong public servant with deep roots in Vaughan, Mario G. Racco has spent decades working to support residents, strengthen neighbourhoods, and deliver results that matter.

First elected to Council in 1982, Mario built a reputation for being accessible, responsive, and focused on the everyday concerns of families and seniors. He later served as the Member of Provincial Parliament for Thornhill, where he brought a local perspective to provincial decision-making and advocated for safer communities and stronger public services.

Today, as a Local and Regional Councillor, Mario continues to represent residents at both the city and regional level, ensuring Vaughan has a strong voice on key issues like infrastructure, public safety, and quality of life. His approach is simple: listen first, act with integrity, and follow through.

With a background in accounting and decades of experience in public service, Mario brings both practical knowledge and a steady hand to Council, always focused on what’s best for the community he calls home.
